Dr. Nikki Blakesley (she/her)
Some things to know about me…
I’m fascinated by people and love to hear their stories. Theatre music is my jam (nerd alert!) because it tells a larger story about hope, struggle, and transformation. Some of my favorite shows that I sing along to in my car are: Wicked, In the Heights, and Hamilton.
I’m always learning how to be a better human—and I’m doing my best to pass that on to my kids.
I’m a highly sensitive extrovert (how’s that for a combo?), which means I feel deeply, get energy from connecting with others, and still need quiet space to process it all. Art has always been one of my favorite ways to do that.
I know what it’s like to care deeply about the world—and to get tired of carrying so much of it.
As a therapist, I support LGBTQIA2S+ changemakers, creatives, and neurodivergent folks who want to stay rooted in their purpose—without losing themselves in the process. Whether you’re navigating identity in unsafe systems, feeling the emotional weight of advocacy, or simply exhausted from holding it all together—you deserve support that sustains your spirit and honors your full humanity.
Because sometimes, the words aren’t enough. That’s when art steps in, offering a language beyond logic.
Art taught me how to be bold, curious, and unapologetically myself. Now I use it in therapy to help others reconnect with their purpose, explore their identities, and find sustainable ways to live, love, and lead.
There is nothing “wrong with you.” There is something wrong with the systems that expect you to give everything and ask for nothing in return.
You are not too much. You are enough. You are worthy of care.
If you're ready to come back to yourself—and find a way to stay in the work without burning out—schedule a free consultation with me today.
Let’s begin the journey together.
Stay in the Work—with Support
I’m a human first—and I come into the therapy room as my full self. I’m warm, compassionate, and genuinely care about people. I strive to create a space where you don’t have to perform or shrink—where you can just be. That’s why you’re here, right? To be seen, supported, and held in all your complexity.
I’ll laugh with you, cry with you, cuss with you, and sit in the shit when it gets hard. This is real, relational work—and I’m in it with you.
As a cisgender, white, able-bodied woman, I hold unearned privilege—and I take seriously the responsibility to examine and disrupt the ways that privilege shows up in our work. I am committed to doing my own work, both inside and outside the therapy room.
I believe therapy should be a place where all of you is welcome. I celebrate all identities and parts of the self—and I approach our work together with humility, openness, and deep respect. Whether our identities overlap or differ, we’ll name and explore how they shape your experiences, your story, and our relationship.
You’ve already carried enough shame, judgment, and pressure to fit a mold. Here, you don’t have to explain yourself. You get to be yourself.
I’m an LGBTQIA2S+ and neurodivergent-affirming therapist, and I specialize in supporting folks who are trying to sustain their purpose without burning out—especially those navigating systems that weren’t built for them.
If that’s what you’re looking for in a therapist, I’d be honored to work with you.
My commitment to you…
“I accept you for who you are right now.”

We Can Do Hard Things. I (not-so-secretly) want to be besties with Glennon, Abby, and Amanda.

I love me some Star Trek. My favorite? Deep Space Nine, hands down.
-
I grew up as a theatre kid. I have a show tunes playlist that I often belt out in my car like I’m onstage. What’s my favorite musical? Oh, right now it’s Wicked. I saw the recent movie version twice in the theatre and totally cried during “Defying Gravity” both times! I’m so excited for the second movie to come out in November!!!

I sort things in rainbow order. Does it stay that way? Well, that’s another story.
